A childhood stolen from the spotlight

It’s hard to imagine growing up in front of millions of viewers. Yet that’s exactly what Chad Allen, born in 1974, experienced, landing his first role at just 8 years old. From his very first appearance in *St. Elsewhere*, he impressed audiences with his maturity and sensitivity. Soon, film roles followed one after another: *Our House*, *My Two Dads*, notable guest appearances… He was everywhere.

But behind the smiling boy hides a child who knows neither the schoolyard nor outings with friends. Studios replace classrooms.
