Stir the banana puree into the cooled custard mixture.

Cover with plastic wrap (press it against the surface to prevent a skin forming).

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Step 4: Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker.

Churn according to manufacturer instructions (usually 20–25 minutes).

During the last 5 minutes, add crushed vanilla wafers.
Step 5: Add Pudding Swirls (Optional but Recommended)

Gently fold spoonfuls of prepared vanilla pudding into the churned ice cream for a true “pudding” texture.
Step 6: Freeze

Transfer to a freezer-safe container.

Press parchment paper on top to prevent ice crystals.

Freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
