Watch for:
Brown or reddish discoloration (hemosiderin staining)
Itching, thickening, or leathery texture
Open sores (ulcers) near ankles
These indicate long-standing venous disease needing treatment
Veins That Feel Warm, Hard, or Tender to Touch

Could be superficial thrombophlebitis (a clot in a surface vein)
May look red, swollen, and feel like a “cord” under the skin
While often benign, it can sometimes extend deeper—get it checked
Sudden Vein Prominence with Shortness of Breath or Chest Pain
