What it may be: Varicose veins—caused by faulty valves that allow blood to pool
Why it matters: Can lead to swelling, skin discoloration, or even ulcers if untreated
Risk factors: Family history, pregnancy, standing for long hours, obesity
Sudden Appearance of Veins in Just One Leg (or Arm)

Asymmetry is a red flag. If veins pop up on only one side, it could signal:
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)—a blood clot
Venous obstruction (e.g., from a tumor or scar tissue)
Seek care immediately if accompanied by swelling, warmth, or redness
Pain, Aching, Heaviness, or Cramping

Healthy visible veins don’t hurt. Pain = possible venous reflux or inflammation
Worse at end of day? Often a sign of chronic venous insufficiency
