Southern Banana Pudding Cake (Party Classic!)
1️⃣ Bake the cake
Prepare and bake the cake in a rectangular dish (9×13 / 23×33 cm) according to the package directions.
Let cool 10 minutes.
2️⃣ Poke the cake
Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the warm cake.
3️⃣ Make the pudding
Whisk banana pudding with cold milk until smooth and slightly thick (about 2 minutes).
4️⃣ Fill the cake
Pour the pudding evenly over the cake, making sure it sinks into the holes.
5️⃣ Chill
Refrigerate at least 1 hour so the pudding sets.
6️⃣ Frost
Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake.
7️⃣ Final chill
Chill another 1–2 hours before slicing.

For extra nostalgia: sprinkle vanilla wafers on top
Add sliced bananas just before serving (so they don’t brown)
