Put raw sausage links in the slow cooker with just a few add-ins and let it do its thing all afternoon.
1️⃣ Layer the onions
Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
2️⃣ Add the sausages (raw)
Lay the raw sausage links directly on top of the onions.
👉 No browning needed.
3️⃣ Season & add liquid
Sprinkle spices over the sausages and pour in the broth.
4️⃣ Cook low & slow
LOW: 6–8 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
The sausages will cook through and release flavor into the onions.
5️⃣ Serve
Serve hot with:
Bread or rolls
Mashed potatoes
Rice
Pasta
Or slice them for sandwiches 🌭
Tips
If you like golden color, you can quickly broil or pan-sear the sausages after cooking (optional).
The onions become soft, sweet, and jam-like.
Keeps well for meal prep (3–4 days in the fridge).
