- Cook the Beef
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and bell peppers, sauté until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain any excess fat.
- Make the Sauce
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth.
- Bring to a simmer. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until mixture thickens.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Cheesy Finish
- Stir in half of the cheese until melted and creamy in the beef mixture.
- Keep the rest for topping.
- Assemble the Sloppy Joes
- Spoon beef mixture onto toasted buns.
- Top with remaining cheese. (For extra gooeyness, place under broiler for 1–2 minutes to melt).
