Ingredients:
1 large egg
Water (enough to cover the egg)
Instructions:
Place the egg gently in a saucepan.
Add cold water until the egg is fully covered (about 1 inch above the egg).
Put the pan on the stove over medium-high heat.
Once the water starts boiling, reduce the heat slightly and let it boil:
7 minutes for a soft but set yolk
9–10 minutes for a fully hard-boiled egg
Remove the egg immediately and place it in cold water or ice water for 5 minutes.
Peel the egg carefully.
