Bring water to a boil.

Add the licorice root and simmer for 5–7 minutes.

Remove from heat, cover, and steep for 5 more minutes.

Strain and enjoy warm.
⚠️ Important notes:
Do not drink daily for long periods.
Avoid if you have high blood pressure, kidney, or heart problems.
Safe in moderation (1 cup per day, a few times a week).
