Step 1: Cook the Beef Mixture
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add the diced onion and sauté for 4–5 minutes until softened.

  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

  4. Add 1½ pounds ground beef and cook, breaking it apart as it browns.

  5. When beef is fully browned (about 8–10 minutes), drain excess fat if needed.
