At 1:47 a.m., two officers broke down my front door with a warrant.
“You’re under arrest for inheritance fraud,” they announced.
My parents stood behind them smiling while my sister broadcast the scene live to more than a million viewers.
I did not resist.
At the station, an officer opened my file, turned pale, and snapped to attention.
Fifteen minutes later, the police chief hurried in and saluted.
“Commander… we had no idea.”
I looked toward my family.
“Now arrest the people who framed me.”
At exactly 1:47 in the morning, my front door burst inward.
The first thing I saw through the dust was my mother smiling.
The second was Vanessa holding her phone above the officers’ shoulders, livestreaming my arrest to more than a million strangers.
“Hands where we can see them!” one officer shouted.
I slowly lifted both hands.
“May I see the warrant?”
His partner forced my arms behind my back.
“You’re under arrest for inheritance fraud,” he said. “Forgery, theft, and unlawful transfer of estate assets.”
Behind them, my father crossed his arms.
“We warned everyone she was dangerous.”
Vanessa angled the camera toward my face.
“Say hello to justice, Elena.”
I remained silent.
That disappointed them more than panic would have.
