For Caramel Sauce
• Granulated sugar – 1 cup (200g)
• Butter – 6 tbsp (85g)
• Heavy cream – ½ cup (120ml)
• Salt – ¼ tsp
For Caramel Buttercream Frosting
• Unsalted butter – 1 cup (225g), softened
• Powdered sugar – 3½ cups (440g)
• Caramel sauce – ½ cup (from above)
• Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
• Milk or cream – 2–3 tbsp (as needed)
