1. What are ticks?
Ticks are small parasites that feed on the blood of humans and animals. They are often found in grassy areas, woods, gardens, and places frequented by domestic or wild animals. A tick bite is usually painless, so many people don’t notice it right away. In some cases, the tick can remain attached to the skin for hours or even days before being discovered.
